Brian Rumao is Managing Director of Next Play Ventures, where alongside founding partner Jeff Weiner, he coaches and invests in entrepreneurial leaders building world-class, purpose-driven companies.
Previously, Brian was Vice President at LinkedIn. For over six years as Chief of Staff to the CEO, Brian worked alongside the LinkedIn executive team to manage strategic initiatives and operational rhythm of the business, launch and scale new cross-functional programs, and develop leadership communications and company narratives. Brian also managed the overall joint integration program following Microsoft’s acquisition of LinkedIn in June 2016.
Brian joined LinkedIn in June 2012 in the Business Operations team, where as a Manager he advised on growth strategies for consumer and enterprise product offerings, as well as global customer service operations.
Prior to LinkedIn, Brian was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with highest honors in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. For seven years, he served on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, and in 2018, he became a First Mover Fellow of the Aspen Institute.
